Professor Yongxin Zhu visited Toast Lab and gave a seminar at the School of Information Science and Technology (SIST), ShanghaiTech University on 16 April. The seminar was titled Custom Computing for Ultra Large Scale Big Data Streams from Giant Scientific Apparatuses. During the seminar, Professor Zhu shared his distinguished experiences of processing ultra-scale data from Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF, 上海光源) and Five-Hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST, 中国天眼) with multiple effectual solutions.
Professor Zhu has been a full professor with Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (中国科学院上海高等研究院) since 2017. He is also an adjunct professor with the School of Microelectronics at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (上海交通大学). He has published over 170 English journal and conference papers, 50 Chinese journal papers, and 20 China patent approvals in the areas of computer architecture, embedded systems and big data processing.
